E3 2020 Participants Leaked at ESA’s Website

According to reports, the Entertainment Software Association (ESA) unintentionally leaked a list of participants for the upcoming E3 2020, some two companies are missing, Xbox and Nintendo, although, Xbox has already confirmed their participation into the event.

The information was spotted and shared by a ResetEra user, the information is being hosted on the WebOps platform Pantheon.io and was publicly available.

As it’s reported by VideoGameChronicles this would make the second year in a row the big event leaks information, last year “a list of personal details belonging to over 2,000 members of the media who attended E3 2019, including their home addresses and phone numbers.”

“Below is a list of the major video game industry and business partners you need to see while you’re at E3,” The leaked ESA website says.

  • Activision Publishing, Inc.
  • Amazon Game Studios.
  • BANDAI NAMCO Entertainment America Inc.
  • Bethesda
  • Capcom USA, Inc.
  • Epic Games Inc.
  • Kalypso Media Group
  • NCSOFT
  • RDS INdustries Inc.
  • SEGA
  • Square Enix, Inc.
  • Take-Two
  • TENCENT
  • THQ Nordic
  • Ubisoft Entertainment SA
  • Unnamed VR by Paracosma
  • Warner Bros Interactive Entertainment
  • XSEED Games

Like mentioned above, it’s interesting that neither Nintendo or Xbox appear on the list, but Xbox has already confirmed its participation, it’s very unlikely that they would break a promise to fans who are eager to know more for the Xbox Series X. On the other hand Nintendo is moving to a different way to make their announcements, lately a lot of the information of new games has taken place at YouTube on special announcement videos.

Reports from GameIndustry.Biz explains that The Entertainment Software Association have changed the way E3 is presented to the attendees, this year’s event will have a focus on consumers, influencers and celebrities. The event is reported to be a “fan, media, and influencer festival”

Sony is not attending, and very politely has suggested that the current direction of the ESA has forced their hands to skip the big event.

“After thorough evaluation SIE has decided not to participate in E3 2020,”…”We have great respect for the ESA as an organization, but we do not feel the vision of E3 2020 is the right venue for what we are focused on this year.”
