Electronic Arts announced recently an exclusivity deal with the Masters Tournament at Augusta National Golf Club for the upcoming EA Sports PGA The Tour.
Last month Take-Two acquired HB Studios, the producers of PGA Tour 2k21 developer along with a long-term exclusive partnership with Tiger Woods. Is important to mention that Tiger Woods and Electronic Arts had a 15-year relationship for EA Sports golf games.
Electronic Arts certainly flexed its muscles against Take-Two and have acquired exclusive rights for one of the most prestigious golf events in the world. The Masters made its first-ever virtual appearance with EA SPORTS in 2011, Fred Ridley, Chairman of Augusta National Golf Club and the Masters Tournament, unveiled the new cover of EA SPORTS PGA TOUR today during his annual press conference before the 2021 Masters Tournament.

EA Sports PGA TOUR is being developed using the proprietary Frostbite engine and will feature next-gen technology promising “stunning fidelity, breathtaking immersive environments, and approachable, dynamic gameplay.”
EA Sports also recently announced a portfolio expansion with future next-gen games based on College Football and new development of the FIFA, Madden NFL, NHL, and UFC franchises.
