Elden Ring DLC May Be Getting an Update Soon

A new Steam application linked to the Elden Ring Steam page has seemingly surfaced online. As spotted by ResetEra user Zeta50, the application called “SteamDB Unknown App 2778580” was spotted attached to Elden Ring’s DLC category. The app was seemingly added some days ago and because its attached to the DLC category, its likely to be a paid DLC. This may also hint that an update for the recently announced Shadow of the Erdtree DLC may be imminent. The DLC was announced almost a year ago on February 28, 2023. Elden Ring launched on February 25 2022, and is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC via Steam. The game’s sales recently surpassed 20 million units worldwide.

A description of the expansion via Bandai Namco:

“Rise, Tarnished, and let us walk a new path together. An upcoming expansion for Elden Ring, ‘Shadow of the Erdtree,’ is currently in development. We hope you look forward to new adventures in the Lands Between.”

The game’s details via Bandai Namco can be seen below:

The Golden Order has been broken.

Rise, Tarnished, and be guided by grace to brandish the power of the Elden Ring and become an Elden Lord in the Lands Between.

In the Lands Between ruled by Queen Marika the Eternal, the Elden Ring, the source of the Erdtree, has been shattered.

Marika’s offspring, demigods all, claimed the shards of the Elden Ring known as the Great Runes, and the mad taint of their newfound strength triggered a war: The Shattering. A war that meant abandonment by the Greater Will.

And now the guidance of grace will be brought to the Tarnished who were spurned by the grace of gold and exiled from the Lands Between. Ye dead who yet live, your grace long lost, follow the path to the Lands Between beyond the foggy sea to stand before the Elden Ring.

And become the Elden Lord.

Elden Ring, developed by FromSoftware Inc. and produced by Bandai Namco Entertainment Inc., is a fantasy action RPG and FromSoftware’s largest game to date, set within a world full of mystery and peril.
