With what appears to be an upcoming move for Sega, the ESRB website has listed the Yakuza 2 remake, Kiwami 2, as heading over to the PC. There’s been no official announcement for the title to be ported over to PC, however, the first Kiwama – remake of the original Yakuza – did find its way over to the PC just over a month ago.
Along with the rating also comes an incredibly lengthy ratings description which helps add a bit of factual proof that Kiwami 2 more than likely will be seeing its way over to PC. You can view the ESRB web page for Yakuza Kiwami 2 with a platform labeled as Windows PC, as well as the descriptive rating summary here.
With the Yakuza series older entries receiving modern re-releases and remakes, the new spin-off title Judgment heading west this summer and a new Yakuza title featuring a new protagonist in development, Sega seems like it’s treating the series as its number one IP – which many fans agree with. Yakuza is definitely a series that deserves more attention outside of Japan, and it appears Sega feels the same way.
Stay tuned for more details on the potential release of Yakuza Kiwami 2 on PC.
