Atlus has dropped two new trailers for Etrian Odyssey V: The End of the Long Myth. The first trailer focuses on the Warlock class, a back-row attacker that has a mastery over certain elemental magics such as fire, ice, and lightning. The second trailer concerns Masteries, which can be attained by meeting specific requirements. Once a character becomes a master of their class, he or she can choose from one of two Master Titles in order to learn new skills and gain a stat boost.
Set in the land of Arcadia, Etrian Odyssey V is about a group of heroes venturing to the summit of an ancient tree known as Yggdrasil in the hopes that it will grant their wishes. The game will be available in Japan for 3DS on August 4, 2016. There is no word yet as to a western release.

“Unlike Etrian Odyssey IV, which received a much needed graphical overhaul when Atlus brought the series to the Nintendo 3DS, Etrian Odyssey V doesn’t do anything new on the graphical or artistic front. The celebrated team behind the franchise is still cranking out adorable character art and crude monster models in the same graphic engine, and, of course, everything is still green.”
