CCP Games today announced that EVE: Valkyrie, the virtual reality (VR) multiplayer dogfighting shooter celebrated by Wired.com as “a soaring example of VR as the future of gaming” is available now on Steam for play with the HTC Vive VR headset.
The game launched in March for Oculus Rift and in October for the PlayStation VR. It is the world’s first three-platform multiplayer VR game, as well as the first ever to offer cross-platform play. Players on all three platforms fly with, and against, each other online.
The game is an award-winning multiplayer dogfighting shooter that harnesses the very latest advances in virtual reality technology. It is an accessible and immersive experience that fulfills the fantasy and thrill of being a real spaceship pilot in the midst of combat. USA Today noted that EVE: Valkyrie is “perhaps the greatest showcase of virtual reality’s potential.”
Developed by CCP Games’ Newcastle studio, EVE: Valkyrie is the boldest realization of virtual reality space combat, combining immediate visceral action and tactical depth.
