Everwild Is Still a Long Way Off Says Insider

Speaking on the ResetEra Forums, an insider who goes by the name EvilBoris affirmed that Everwild is “a long way off” claiming that “there is currently no actual game and was having major issues getting off the ground.”

Rare has shared only two trailers for the highly anticipated game, gameplay footage has not been revealed. Rare’s head, Craig Duncan said that the development team is “still playing around with gameplay ideas”. More information comes from the Lead Narrative Designer Dale Murchie who states on his LinkedIn page that he has been working on the game since January 2016.

The Everwild team is focused on building an experience that allows for new ways to play in a natural and magical world. The development team is creating something truly original and incredibly special that aims to be more than just a new IP.

As all the announcements of today’s Xbox Games Showcase, Everwild will be available on Xbox Series X, Windows PC and, Xbox Game Pass.

Loise O´Connor, Executive Producer for Everwild shared a few words about what it’s the vision of Rare and its development team for this new IP.

Everwild will give to you a magical and untamed natural world for you to explore and to just truly lose yourself in. It’s a place to be eternal, an eternal has the gift to sense and feel how magic flows through nature and connects every living thing.
The team here at Rare is so excited to be working on something like Everwild, and I hope you’re excited too.
But I just wanna take this opportunity to say a massive, massive thank you to everyone who’s shown their support and love, and for the incredible, awesome, positive community.

About Rare:

Established in 1985 to focus on the expanding console market, we partnered with Nintendo and quickly sealed a reputation for quality with titles including Battletoads, Donkey Kong Country and GoldenEye.

The acquisition of Rare by Microsoft Game Studios came about in 2002 after a colossally successful run of titles throughout the 1990s. We went on to support the Xbox 360 debut with two of the three launch games, Kameo: Elements of Power and Perfect Dark Zero. Subsequent years saw us innovate with Banjo-Kazooie: Nuts & Bolts, the addictive Viva Piñata franchise, and our pioneering work on Xbox 360 Avatars.
