September’s State of Play event recently ended and featured a slew of game announcements, trailers, and more. In case you didn’t catch everything, we’ve broken down every major and minor announcement, trailer, and gameplay reveal that the event had to offer.
Final Fantasy 7 Rebirth new trailer and release date
Sony finally revealed a new trailer showing several new details, gameplay segments showing cloud, Zack, and playable sephiroth, as well as other events to come. The game will also officially launch on February 29, 2024.
Marvel’s Spider-Man 2
During the State of Play livestream, Sony released another trailer for the upcoming action adventure game Marvel’s Spider-Man 2. The trailer shows several new outfits, action, traversal and more. The game will launch on October 20.
Resident Evil 4 Separate Ways DLC
Sony released a new trailer for Resident Evil 4 showcasing the upcoming and heavily rumored Separate Ways DLC following Ada Wong’s perspective during the events of the game. It will launch on September 21.
Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn Announced
During the State of Play, Bandai Namco released a new trailer for Tales of Arise: Beyond the Dawn, a new story DLC expansion for Tales of Arise. A new story trailer was also released, and it will launch on November 9.
Helldivers 2 Gameplay Video
Developer Arrowhead Game Studio released a new short gameplay video for Helldivers 2. The video shows co-op play and several enemies featured in the game. It’s also been delayed from its previous 2023 release window to February 8, 2024.
Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora
Ubisoft and developer Massive Entertainment released a new trailer for Avatar: Frontiers of Pandora. The trailer shows gameplay and cutscenes showing flying, foraging, and more. The game will launch sometime in 2024.
Honkai Star Rail PS5 port release date
A t the State of Play event, a new trailer for Honkai Star Rail was released revealing that the game will launch on October 11 for PlayStation 5. The game is available for PC and mobile devices.
Baby Steps Gameplay Trailer
Devolver Digital released a new trailer for the upcoming highly challenging platformer and walking simulator Baby Steps. The trailer shows several daunting platforms players have to traverse. It will launch sometime in 2024.
Foam Stars Open Beta Announced
Square Enix released a new trailer for its third person bubble shooter multiplayer game. The trailer announces that an open beta for the game will run from September 19 to October 1 for PlayStation 5.
Deep Earth DualSense controllers and PS5 Covers Collection
During the State of Play event, A new trailer showcasing the upcoming Deep Earth Collection showing the collection’s Volcanic Red, Cobalt Blue, and Sterling Silver colors for PS5 cases and controller skins.
GhostRunner 2 Trailer and Demo
505 Games and developer One More Level also released a trailer announcing that a demo for the upcoming action game GhostRunner 2 is available now for PlayStation 5, Xbox Series X/S, and PC via Steam and Epic Games Store.
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord Trailer and release date
Ghostbusters: Rise of the Ghost Lord received a new gameplay trailer announcing that the PSVR2 and Meta Quest game will launch on October 26.
Roblox PS4 and Ps5 release date
The Roblox Corporation released a new trailer announcing the game’s October 10 release date for PS4 and PS5.
