Evil Dead: The Game Is Delayed Again

Evil Dead: The Game

, the upcoming is 4-player co-operative shooter being developed by Saber Interactive based on the film series/ tv series of the same name, has been delayed again now is set to release on May 13th, 2022. It had previously been planned to release in February of this year, it was delayed shortly after a new trailer for the game was showcased during the 2021 Summer Games Fest.

It was delayed originally due to the work that the team felt was needed to implement a single-player campaign into the experience. This task most likely needed more time than was initially suspected it would, judging by their newest delay, which they announced via a tweet on Twitter.

The studio stated in their tweet:

When we set out to create a brand new game worthy of the Evil Dead franchise, we knew it had to be groovy as hell. In order to deliver the best possible experience, Evil Dead: The Game is now coming on May 13, 2022.

They added in a follow-up tweet:

This delay gives our team the time they need to get things just right, so your boomstick will be polished, fully loaded, and ready to blast Deadites on that Friday the 13th of May. We thank you for your patience and understanding.

While the wait will be a little longer than expected, it is always good when a team is willing to take more time to release a more polished product. Arguably this delay should not be very unexpected, given how quiet news for the game had been, given how close we were to their planned release.

If you need to get your fix of blasting enemy hordes with your friends, Back 4 Blood, Rainbow Six: Extraction, The Anacrusis, and Aliens: Fireteam Elite are all available for you and your friends to team up in while you wait for May.
