The Fallout 76 B.E.T.A. (Break-it Early Test Application) will begin in October and Bethesda will be “selecting people who have pre-ordered the game from a participating retailer.”
Regardless of which version you bought, you’ll get a code to get you into the beta that we now know is starting in October thanks to a post on the community boards. After showing appreciation for Bethesda fans’ discussions about the upcoming Fallout 76, community administrator jurassica shared news of the beta’s new timeframe.
Announced by community administrator Jurassica on Bethesda’s Fallout 76 general discussion forum, she continued to say “we’ll start small and grow over time as we prepare for launch.”
Jurassica also confirmed that “During the Fallout 76 panel at QuakeCon, we’ll be answering some of your questions.”
The panel will take place on August 10 at 9am PT/12pm ET and will see Todd Howard and other Bethesda Game Studios developers dive deeper into the newest entry of the Fallout franchise.
Bethesda also detailed more of their plans for QuakeCon, which runs from August 9-12 in Dallas, TX, and that it will feature more from Rage 2 and the gameplay reveal of Doom Eternal, which was announced at E3 2018.
Fallout 76 will be released on November 14, 2018, on PlayStation 4, Xbox One, and PC.
Beyond that, we know you have numerous questions about the game. Things are still changing and being iterated on, so we cannot answer everything yet, but we encourage you to submit your questions. During the Fallout 76 panel at QuakeCon we’ll be answering some of your questions. If you’re in Dallas, come join us. If you’re not able to make in person, you can check out all the fun via the live stream airing on Mixer. Send questions our way by posting them here in the forums, on any of the Fallout subreddits, Twitter, Facebook, or Instagram.
