Fallout 76 – Fallout 1st Fails Epically

Fallout 76

has been a colossal failure there’s no way to hide it, no way around it, no excuse for it, the game is a dumpster fire. Unfortunately how Bethesda has been handling the game and the game’s marketing is somehow worse. Let’s go back to the beginning, first off, no one really asked for Fallout 76. As someone who played Fallout 4, most people asked for online capabilities to be added to Fallout 4. Let’s be real and honest here, Bethesda saw that as a money-making opportunity and made created a microwave quick game. Fast-forward to the announcement at E3 we’re told that there will be no NPCs. We’re also told that microtranscations will be cosmetic only and have no effect on gameplay. The game releases with tons of bugs (some of which still haven’t been fixed), Bethesda has completely backtracked on their microtranscation statement and more.

Somehow, this is not the end of what Bethesda had in store for users. At E3 this year Bethesda made such a big deal about the announcement of adding NPCs to Fallout 76. If I remember correctly this was paired with the news that Fallout 76 would be adding a Battle Royale mode. Now just this week alone Bethesda has dropped a lot of news on us about the game. First things first, The Wastelanders DLC has been pushed back to 2020, keep in mind this was the DLC meant to put NPCs into the game. Fair enough, make sure the DLC is working 100%. The very next day Bethesda and Fallout 76 announced the addition of Fallout 1st. Fallout 1st is a subscription service meant to add features, like a save point, unlimited storage, private words and more. The service charged $12.99 for a month and $99.99 for a year.

It launched broken. That’s it. That’s the news. The private worlds aren’t private, the unlimited storage container will literally eat your items with no way to get them and numerous other bugs. No idea what Bethesda is doing, but they’ve really done it this time.
