The year of 2019 hasn’t reached the halfway yet but the current fiscal year is going to end as June 1st shows up. As a result, big publishers and companies has started to report their financial performance during the ongoing fiscal year and also talk about some of their scheduled projects for the future.
While we previously covered Ubisoft’s upcoming title for the next fiscal year that teased in earnings call, there is still more to share from the latest financial gathering.
According to official report coming from Ubisoft, Far Cry 5 is company’s best-selling game over the current generation of consoles so far. While the game released last year in March, its number of sales in units has overtaken the company’s all other titles from the beginning of 8th gen.
On the other hand, Ubisoft also shared some financial details on Rainbow Six: Siege, which seems to one of the most successful long-term projects of the French publisher. Based on the report, Rainbow Six: Siege has grossed over $1.12 Billion so far, including the game’s sales and the revenue coming from in-game purchases and post-launch contents. Besides, the game’s community sees 40% increase in comparison to last year, with the player base reaching 45 million gamers.
Supporting the tactical team-based first-person shooter still goes on as the developer has planned seasonal updates for year 4, making it the longest-running title of Ubisoft in the whole history.
