Ferrari Hublot Esports Announced Winners Will be Hired By Ferrari

Maranello’s supercar manufacturer is well aware of the needs stepping into the Esports arena, for this reason, the racing division of the company has just announced Ferrari Hublot Esports Series, a competition that will take place later this year on Asseto Corsa.

Ferrari will be scouting the fastest racers in the competition, the winner will be automatically awarded a seat in Ferrari’s Esport Team in 2021. The winner will receive training and advice from professional Formula One driver and esports fan Charles LeClerc, who is the ambassador for the Ferrari Hublot Esports Series.

Ferrari Hublot Esports will have two categories, AM Series and Pro Series, the first will be hosted in-game in September, Ferrari will afterward host the Pro series with 24 esports players.

The 12 fastest players in each category will compete in four races in October, with the finals to be held over three races in November.

The winner will go to Italy to train, and will be a reserve driver on the company’s esports team. Registrations open on August 7.

The developer team tried their best to offer a more realistic experience than the one featured at consoles. An “advanced” physics engine is featured in order to provide a realistic driving experience, this allows for tire flat spots, heat cycle, and blistering. The aerodynamics systems allow for movable aerodynamic parts controlled in real-time by telemetry input channels. The most advanced technology of real-life racing is also present in Asseto Corsa Competizione, Kers, and energy recovery is simulated with great details.

The game also features officially licensed contents, from different cars manufactures, Audi, BMW, Classic Team Lotus, Ferrari, Lamborghini, McLaren are some of the manufactures that had worked closely with the development team in order to offer a more realistic racing experience.

Assetto Corsa Competizione is born from KUNOS Simulazioni’s long-term experience, and it takes full advantage of Unreal Engine 4 to ensure photorealistic weather conditions and graphics, night races, motion capture animations, reaching a new standard in terms of driving realism and immersion, thanks to its further improved tire and aerodynamic models.
