FIFA 21 has ditched a traditional feature of older FIFA titles, the EA SPORTS Football Catalogue is no longer available to create a “more easily accessible” game.
The EA SPORTS Football Catalogue was first introduced in FIFA 13 as a way to reward people’s playtime, players were able to use the in-game currency to redeem items and kits, however, the reward system was meant to be integrated with FIFA Ultimate Team, but was shortly removed after the exploit of a glitch in 2014.
According to EA Sports, players can still increase its EASFC level, earn Football Club Credits (FCC), and redeem items in previous FIFA versions that have this feature. In FIFA 21, items acquired via FCC has been redistributed to other areas of the game.
Other previously available Catalogue items, including the Manager/Player Career-Focused Training, Co-Op Seasons Win/Draw/Extra Match, and International Manager Offer are not in FIFA 21.
FIFA 21 will launch worldwide on October 9, 2020, for the PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Nintendo Switch, PC via Steam and Origin, Google Stadia subscribers will have to wait until the winter to get the game. EA Access and Origin Access Basic members will be able to try the game starting October 1st. All-Access members will continue to receive on-going benefits in FIFA throughout the season.
