Merchoid, a video game merchandise specialist, hopes to launch the FF7-themed version of the iconic board game on April 14, 2017.

“Square Enix is currently working on a remake of the 1997 hit, that was announced at E3 2015. Since then, the publisher has revealed some gameplay footage and spoken about its episodic approach, but the release date is yet to be confirmed.
Final Fantasy is not the first title to receive the board game treatment, as Dark Souls: The Board Game was successfully funded on Kickstarter earlier this year. Various titles including XCOM, This War of Mine or Plague Inc. have also become board games in the past few years. “
