According to a recent statement by Niko Partners analyst Daniel Ahmad, Final Fantasy VII Rebirth is currently underperforming when compared to Final Fantasy VII Remake. Ahmad cites research reports and sales tracking data. He added that it is currently selling about half of what Remake sold in the same timeframe, and “it’ll have a weaker tail.” The actual sales numbers have yet to be revealed, so its yet to be seen how well the title has actually been performed. Final Fantasy VII Rebirth launched on February 25 and is available now for PlayStation 5. According to new information from interviews published on the Final Fantasy VII Remake Ultimania Book, the story for the third part of the Final Fantasy VII Remake “has already been completed.”
