Considerations from Square Enix are:
– Progress cannot be carried over into the retail version of the game.
– Content may differ from that of the retail version.
We all knew a demo was coming after a the demo was leaked online Reddit users managed to download and share the demo. The news that followed the hype of an arriving demo was the delay of the game, fans would need to wait a whole month, but developer Yoshinori Kitase gave the reasons of the delay.
“In order to ensure we deliver a game that is in-line with our vision, and the quality that our fans who have been waiting for deserve, we have decided to move the release date to April 10, 2020
“We are making this tough decision in order to give ourselves a few extra weeks to apply final polish to the game and to deliver you with the best possible experience. I, on behalf of the whole team, want to apologize to everyone, as I know the meaning of waiting for the game just a little bit longer.” Said Yoshinori Kitase via Twitter.
Square Enix also released the opening movie of the Remake, you can watch it here while the demo is downloading. A theme song trailer was also released, you might also want to watch it while you are anxiously waiting for the installation.
