Final Fantasy VII Remake
‘s Co-Director, Motomu Toriyama confirmed his appearance at a special Final Fantasy 7 Remake Orchestra World Tour event later this week to reveal new information about the game.
The information was shared by the Twitter user aitaikimochi, Square Enix veteran and Final Fantasy Committee member Motomu Toriyama will be making a special appearance at this week’s Orchestra World Tour debut in February 13 at 3 am EST / 8 am GMT / 5 pm JST.
“There will be a special part of the concert where I’ll make an appearance and talk about a few FF7R contents to be revealed only during this event, so please tune in!”
In early January, RPGSite reported that Square Enix filed a collection of new trademarks that apparently ties Crisis Core: Final Fantasy VII with the Final Fantasy VII: Remake universe. Square Enix now owns the rights for the “Ever Crisis” and “The First Soldier”, as well as a copyright for Final Fantasy VII’s Shinra Electric Power Company.
It is expected that a PS5 update for Final Fantasy VII: Remake will be announced with bonus content, it’s also speculated that the Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S version of the game could also be announced with a collector’s edition adding the highly anticipated part 2 of the story.
Back in 2020, Square Enix confirmed the development of the part of Final Fantasy VII: Remake. The project’s director, Tetsuya Nomura said that he and his team would “like to deliver it as soon as possible.”
“Since we were also able to see the line of quality from the first installment, we hope to make the next installment even better in quality that can make for an even better experience,” … “We would like to get it out as soon as possible, so please wait for it. I think we can clearly convey the direction when we officially announce the next installment.”
The producer of the game also hinted that the story of the game could be greatly expanded when teasing that “the new story of Final Fantasy VII has only just begun.”
