Final Fantasy XIV’s second expansion launches in less than two weeks, and Square Enix just released the all-new Stormblood launch trailer.
Here’s an overview of the trailer:
Having brought an end to the thousand-year conflict between dragon and man in the north, the Warrior of Light and his comrades prepare to liberate Ala Mhigo, a land conquered by the Garlean Empire twenty years ago. Meanwhile, in the Far East, the freedom fighters of the fallen nation of Doma struggle to rekindle the fires of hope in their countrymen.
The time has come to embark upon a new adventure to realms near and far─to rise up with the people of Eorzea and the Far East, and cast down the curs of Garlemald!
Final Fantasy XIV: Stormblood launches on June 20, 2017 on PlayStation 4 and PC. Early access starts June 16 for those who pre-ordered the game.
Check out the Trailer:
Stormblood will bring a lot of new leg room to the game, including an increase to the level cap to 70, two new jobs (red mage and Samurai), the beautiful far eastern city of Kugane, the ability to explore the underwater realm and much more.
Even more importantly, it will expand the story, bringing plot threads (some of which have been developed since the launch of 1.0 seven years ago) to their rightful conclusion.
The launch trailer is suitably epic, and you can enjoy it below, both in English and in Japanese, depending on which language you enjoy the game with.
