SQUARE ENIX announced today that Final Fantasy XV will launch on Windows PC in early 2018. Final Fantasy XV Windows Edition comes loaded with NVIDIA GameWorks technology and other advanced PC features adding cutting-edge graphics and physics simulation technologies with support for NVIDIA’s capture and share tools.

In 2012, Square Enix announced Luminous Studio, a next generation game engine. In 2016, Luminous Studio was integrated with Ebony, the proprietary engine with which FINAL FANTASY XV was developed, and evolved into Luminous Studio Pro. The PlayStation 4 and Xbox One versions of FINAL FANTASY XV were developed with Luminous Studio Pro. As development for FINAL FANTASY XV WINDOWS EDITION commenced, the engine moved another generation forward by integrating NVIDIA GameWorks technology, resulting in Luminous Engine.”
