Final Fantasy XV TGS 2016 Trailer

Final Fantasy XV TGS 2016 Trailer

A brand-new trailer has been revealed for Final Fantasy XV for this year’s Tokyo Game Show, giving us a glimpse of the game’s characters in some tense and dramatic scenes.

While the events that occur immediately prior to Noctis’ departure from his home kingdom of Lucis remain unclear, it’s indirectly hinted that the prince was removed by its monarch (his father), for fear of an invasion by the rapidly-spreading Niflheim empire.

As part of his quest to retake his homeland, Noctis will encounter various different characters with varying agendas, some of which are introduced in the trailer. Ardyn Izunia, a so-called “sinister stranger,” as well as Cid Sophiar and Ravus Nox Fleuret are just some of the newly-introduced members of the cast, but they don’t look particularly friendly.

Final Fantasy XV is due out for PlayStation 4 and Xbox One on November 29.

Check out the Trailer:

“I can’t think of a better convention to make a grand final appearance than Tokyo GameShow, but this year’s trailer is much more low key. Rather than the scale of its world, this one focuses on the drama of the characters, showing several of them giving speeches while the main Final Fantasy theme plays in the background.

Nothing too flashy, but that theme makes all the difference in the world. I have no idea why the series ever abandoned it, but I’m so glad its back.”
