Nintendo released a new trailer for its upcoming Nintendo Switch JRPG in the Fire Emblem series, Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes. As a Musou game developed by Omega Force, players will participate in high octane 1 vs. 1000 battles where they’ll pick between the houses of The Black Eagles, The Blue Lions, and The Golden Deer.
A description of the game via Nintendo can be seen below:
Step into the shoes of Shez as they meet Edelgard, Dimitri, Claude, and other Fire Emblem: Three Houses characters as you fight for the future of Fódlan. Align with a leader to build and command an army in 1 vs. 1,000-style battles and deep strategy. The house you choose will bring you through one of three compelling stories, each with a different outcome.
Each house in Three Hopes features its own distinct campaign for players to play through, and as the trailer shows, players can choose between playing as a male or female version of Shez, the protagonist of Three Hopes, who is a mercenary on the quest to defeat the Ashen Demon. The trailer shows Shez fighting against hordes of enemies with their unique sword fighting style and shows Shez fighting against Byleth, a prominent character in Fire Emblem: Three Houses. We’re also shown other characters like Mercedes and Dimitri. Additionally, the trailer also showcased gameplay mechanics such as training, issuing orders on the battlefield, exploring main camps, unlocking new classes, sharing meals, and more.
Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes was originally announced on February 9. The game serves as a spin-off to Fire Emblem: Three Houses with an alternate story. Fire Emblem Warriors: Three Hopes is set to release for Nintendo Switch on June 24.
