Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach Is Now Delayed

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach

will launch for PlayStation and PC in late 2021, Five Nights at Freddy’s series creator Scott Cawthon confirmed in a Reddit post.

“As you all know, Security Breach was originally planned to come out at the end of 2020, but as we kept working on it and kept adding to it, it just kept getting bigger and bigger and needed more time to finish,” Cawthon stated. “And now, again, I’ve made the decision to put more time and money into it to make sure it’s finished properly, and that means a late 2021 release instead of an early 2021 release like I had originally wanted. It will be worth it!”

As an apology for the delay, Scott Cawthon announced that a free side-scrolling beat ’em up titled Security Breach: Fury’s Rage is now available for PC players via Game Jolt.

During Sony-s State of Play February 2021, Steel Wool Studios, the team behind Freddy’s VR Help Wanted and The Curse of Dreadbear unveiled the long-anticipated tenth game in the Five Nights at Freddy’s (FNaF) series. The upcoming game is the first AAA project in the franchise and promises to take the best from the PS5’s next-gen technology to enhance the fear and tension beyond what’s been possible before.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach will use real-time ray tracing graphics, bringing Animatronics to life like never before. The consoles’ 3D audio will also play a big part in the new horror game.

The Five Nights at Freddy’s games became famous by making the most of their low-budget limitations. The single-room setting and the limited sound and animation help to create a claustrophobic tension and building suspense.

The AAA release means playing in a whole different league. Players will expect a lot more in the quality of the graphics, gameplay, and voice acting. At the same time, the established fans want the series to retain its distinctive character and atmosphere. Balancing these demands will be a tricky challenge for the studio.

Five Nights at Freddy’s: Security Breach will be available for PlayStation 5, PlayStation 4, and PC.
