If I have to choose only one surprising first-party announcement of Microsoft during its press conference at E3 2019, that’s definitely the new Flight Simulator. No leaks, no rumors, no speculation and suddenly out of nowhere, you get a trailer announcing the sequel for a game series that was absent in the industry for 13 years. That’s what I call an epic return. Now, the developer is going to reveal more about the upcoming simulator soon, but Insiders first.
According to Microsoft, the team behind Flight Simulator is working hard to deliver the first advance preview of the Development Roadmap, along with in-Sim content and some information on the first build that will be delivered to Insiders. All these works are expected to be done earlier in August.
A few days later at middle of August, Insiders will get Build Program Recruitment and Release timeline, which they have to sign-up for earlier next month. Also, the developer will provide UGC Content update, and SDK update.
Finally, by the end of August, all Insiders will know when the first deliverable build for public and its registration will happen. If you’re an Xbox Insider, next month is going to be full of interesting details on Flight Simulator.
Release date for Microsoft’s next Flight sim game is yet to be known but it will be coming in 2020 to Xbox One, PC and presumably Xbox Scarlett.
