Rivalry must be tough for the competitors, but for the customers, it’s a win-win game. Since Epic Games Store and Steam have started a head-to-head battle on providing the best service for their customers, we’ve seen lots of great titles getting free on Epic Game’s platform. Tim Sweeney’s army gives away a free game every week for users to grab and keep forever. Next week, they’re going to make you an offer you can’t refuse; Alan Wake and For Honor.
Revealed officially via Epic Games’ Twitter account, you will be able to get this week’s free games, This War of Mine and Moonlighter, until August 2nd and after that the new week’s titles will become available which are Alan Wake, from the developers of upcoming Control, and For Honor. Both of the games are worthy titles to play if you haven’t yet.
Alan Wake is a Microsoft-exclusive title that follows the story of a writer who gets haunted by the characters he himself has created. The game is a third-person action and horror game with a captivating narrative that keeps you intrigued till the ending scene.
On the other hand, Epic Games Store gives away the Standard edition of For Honor, a third-person action game that follows the battles of three factions. The game mostly praised for its entertaining multiplayer section and well-designed combats.
Epic Games has previously explained that whenever their pick for the free game of the week is M-rated, they will also bring another title along with it. The same goes for next week’s offer as For Honor is only available for mature people.
