has announced that For Honor Year 6 Season 1 Golden Age will launch on March 17th. The story will begin with an ancient chalice – a relic that will take players back to the Golden Age of Heathmoor to discover the origin of the Wardens through Lord Ramiel, the very first of their kind. The new launch event, The Oath of Wyverndale will allow players to uncover more of the narrative.
In addition to the new event, Ubisoft is implementing Phase 1 of For Honor’s cross-platform play deployment plan at season launch. This will finally allow cross-platform play for all modes except for co-op experiences such as Custom Match (only phase 1), Arcade, Training Mode and the campaign. Phase 2 will allow players to group together with friends on other platforms and is planned to be implemented later this year.
The Oath of Wyverndale adds new content to the game such as lootable weapons, a free event pass, a new game mode and more:
The game mode will take place on the Cathedral Map, where players will team up to challenge the Hero of the Golden Age, Lord Ramiel, in battle. The team that proves worthy of Ramiel’s ranks will get the chance to corner the enemy team and finish them off. Beginning in Year 6, a new feature allows players to apply Lord Ramiel’s Hero Skin, available at season launch for 25,000 Steel or $11.99. The Battle Pass will also be available at launch with 100 tiers of different rewards reflecting the season’s theme.
For Honor was develped by Ubisoft Montreal and originally released in 2017, and is currently still going strong with over 25 million players worldwide, and is available on PC, Xbox One, and Playstation 4, as well as on Xbox Series X|S and Playstation 5 through backwards compatibility.
