It was announced by Critical Forge, that it is the final few days on Kickstarter for their game Forged of Blood that styles itself as the “Fantasy X-Com” game that everyone has been waiting for. Though met with a lackluster reception on Kickstarter, Forged of Blood has been widely praised within the niche TRPG communities around the world and the gamers who have tried the game have loved the game and its direction. With only a few days left, things do not look good for the Kickstarter campaign, but the team has already invested themselves to see the game through even without crowdfunding support.

“Reflecting internally, the team’s Creative Director and marketing man, Igor commented that: “In hindsight, we should’ve thrown a few more dollars into our marketing or waited for a later build to showcase, but this was what our schedule and budget dictated and we had to chase it down.”
That said, the small independent studio will further tighten their purse strings and continue working full time on the game to its completion.
