Fortnite Adds Controller Support on iOS and Android

After being teased by Epic Games, it’s now official, iOS and Android players will have the ability to play Fortnite with a Bluetooth controller.

Bluetooth controller support is available on both the iOS and Android versions of the game. On iOS, Epic said all MFi-compatible controllers will work. However, on Android, “most” Bluetooth controllers are compatible, including ones from SteelSeries, Razer, Microsoft, and Gamevice. In step with this news, some companies have announced new gamepads that support the battle royale title.

Fortnite on Android: The phones Fortnite will work on
Rotor Riot, for instance, has the Rotor Riot wired controller, which it claimed is the first to be approved by Apple for iOS devices. It supports L3/R3 fire buttons on the joysticks and is pitched as a full-featured gaming and drone controller. It costs $49.99. Rotor Riot also offers a USB-C version for Android with a USB-C port, for the same price of $49.99. They’re available at Best Buy and Amazon.

Mobile Controller support:

Android: most of Bluetooth controller adapters, such as Steelseries Stratus XL, Gamevice, XBox1, Razer Raiju, and Moto Gamepad.
iOS: MFi controllers, such as Steelseries Nimbus and Gamevice.
Disabled phone vibration if a gamepad attached.
