Bandai Namco isn’t done trying to bring in new players to their Xenoverse universe as Xenoverse 2 is set to receive a free ‘Lite’ version of the game. As a stripped down version of the full experience in Xenoverse 2, players can hop into the action and make a decision whether the full version is something they might enjoy.
While the Lite version obviously won’t include a large majority of the original Xenoverse 2 experience, it does include five story episodes that run players through various sagas in the Dragon Ball Z main story arc – ‘Raditz’s Attack’, ‘The Saiyan Threat’, ‘Ruckus on Planet Namek’, ‘The Ginyu Force Strikes’ and ‘The Galactic Emperor’. Players will also be able to hop into online matches, quests and take part in the Hero Colosseum.
And for those who try out the Lite version and wish to purchase the full game, all saved data will transfer over without the risk of losing any progression made.
This isn’t the first time we’ve seen fighting games offer a free, stripped down version of their game, as Dead or Alive 6 just announced their Core Fighters release late last week.
The Xenoverse 2 Lite Edition is set to release on March 20, 2019 for the PS4 and Xbox One.
