More news from V-Jump reveals that Bandai Namco is planning to release the free-to-play version of Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 on the Nintendo Switch sometime this summer. The Lite version released earlier this year in March for the PS4 and Xbox One, however, it appears that the Switch version may only be a limited time offer.
The Lite version of the game is a solid starting point for those on the fence about diving into the Xenoverse 2 experience. The free-to-play version includes five different story episode missions, online play in battles and quests and the Hero Colosseum mode along with the ability to transfer save data form the Lite version to the full release.
There’s no official release date for the Lite version for the switch or for how long players will have to download the game before it becomes unavailable.
Dragon Ball Xenoverse 2 is currently available for the PS4, Xbox One. PC and Switch and release all the way back in 2016.
