Furi Releasing for PS4 and Steam on July 5

The Game Bakers announced today that Furi, its upcoming all-boss combat-action game, is slated for release on PlayStation 4 and PC on Tuesday, July 5.

Featuring character design by Afro Samurai creator Takashi Okazaki and a killer soundtrack from well-known electro bands Carpenter Brut, Danger and more, Furi’s heart-pumping boss battles will challenge gamers’ will with skill-based hand-to-hand and gun-battle combat.

Furi is fast-paced, and requires great timing, reflexes and judgment. With immediately responsive controls, players must attack and counter, finding the right strategy for each boss they confront. And each of the formidable “guardians” has a distinct, surprising combat style requiring gamers’ absolute focus, skill, and split-second timing to defeat them, difficult to master at first.

And the gameplay Trailer:

“In addition to the game’s release, a special concert will be held at La Machine du Moulin Rouge in Paris, France on July 8 to showcase some of the game’s soundtrack, featuring electro artists such as Carpenter Brut, Waveshaper, The Toxic Avenger, and Kn1ght. If you’re intrigued and in the area then, you can learn more and purchase tickets here at the game’s website. Furi has impressed us at every turn so far, be it E3, PAX East, or EGX Rezzed, so it goes without saying that we are excited to play the game ASAP. But can we hold out for another two weeks? Hopefully, and we’ll most likely have a review ready then as well, so stay tuned.”
