Gameplay Videos of Sword Art Online: The Beginning Released

More news from IBM of Japan have surfaced in regards of it’s collaboration with Namco Bandai on a Virtual MMORPG based on the Sword Art Online Universe. This time they finally unveiled a gameplay video, showing a total of 208 lucky players entering the world of Sword Art Online, choosing their items and battling bosses in a dungeon.

While the footage just released clearly shows gameplay in alpha state, it is really shaping up nicely and it could be the start of something amazing in the genre itself, I can’t wait to see what the final result of this game will be.

The VRMMO sponsored by IBM, replaced the NerveGear helmets with Oculus Rift and HTC Vive VR headsets. After a 3D body scan, gamers are transformed into avatars of themselves that live inside the game. No controllers are required as players use their body to make moves.”
