Borderlands 3 is set to release in one month’s time and fans are becoming eager to get their hands on the long-awaited sequel. However, it may not just be veteran fans of the series, as newcomers are beginning to show interest in the title as well. Developer Gearbox wants to assure that newcomers to the series won’t need to experience earlier entries in the series in order to appeal to Borderlands 3.
“We have several different options and several different modes that the guys on the game field team— we actually have our own department within the department that works on accessibility, because it’s really important to us(…)But as far as newcomers coming into the series, it’s a first person shooter. If you’ve ever played a first person shooter game then you’ll feel right at home.” – Anthony Nicholson, Gearbox Software
The recent GamingBolt interview with the senior producer of the game, Anthony Nicholson, revealed that fans from all first-persona shooter backgrounds will be able to hop in and enjoy the new title. Nicholson also explains that Borderlands 3 is for anyone who has played a first-person shooter before. He also notes that the Claptrap introductory walkthrough will put all players on the same page, regardless of how long they’ve experienced the Borderlands series.
Borderlands 3 is set to release on the PS4, Xbox One and PC on September 13, 2019.
