Geoff Keighley is gearing up again for another gaming event this year, and this time around, a brand new show for celebrating Gamescom 2019. On August 19, Opening Night Live will go online with tons of new announcements and updates on under-development projects. Recently, Keighley announced that Gears 5 will also be part of this show.
Gears 5 originally revealed at E3 2018, but since then, we haven’t received an exclusive trailer to show-off the game’s campaign, but it’s about to happen soon. According to Geoff Keighley on Twitter, The Coalition will be revealing the campaign and Horde mode for Gears 5 during Opening Night Live on August 19. The show will go live at 2 PM EDT.
Yesterday, Gears 5 has gone gold and it does mean that the game won’t be pushed back. Also, with the development process reaching the end, our first look at the campaign mode will be based on the final product.
Gears 5 is one of the important launches for Xbox this year. If the game succeeds in getting a great reception from fans and media, it could be the ignition for a new and more successful era for Xbox, though we’re about to start the next generation later in 2020.
Previously, we’ve received some trailers for multiplayer section in Gears 5, including Escalation and Arcade modes.
