Aside from Borderlands 3, this year’s September will host another big launch which is going to name as the start of a new era for Xbox. Crackdown 3 was the last AAA exclusive title of Microsoft from the company’s outdated policy in the past, but Gears 5 is going to ignite the engine for Microsoft’s new path, regardless of how excited the fans are for the upcoming sequel.
What makes us to remind you of Gears 5 is its Versus Tech Test that will be launching on July 19. Today, The Coalition officially announced that the tech test for Gears 5 is going to include three multiplayer modes and will be available from July 19 until July 21. The test will start again on July 26 up until July 29. However, players who have pre-ordered the game or have got Xbox Game Pass subscription will be able to download the data from July 17. It will require 15 GB of free space and Xbox Live Gold membership for playing online. The test will be launched on both Xbox One and Windows 10.
According to The Coalition, Versus Tech Test will include Escalation, Arcade and King of the Hill modes, along with a tutorial part named as Bootcamp and set of challenges called Tour of Duty that earning its points grants you a Tech Test banner. Before we jump into the test, more information will be revealed on Escalation and Arcade modes next week at ELEAGUE Invitational.
Gears 5 is set to launch on September 10 for Xbox One and Windows 10.
