The latest spin-off form the world of Sega’s Yakuza series, Judgment, is closing in on its western release. While the game has been in the spot light recently for legal reasons behind Japanese voice actor Pierre Taki’s arrest, Sega has began pushing the promotion forward with new details and video of the game.
The voice actor for the English dubbed version of the game, Greg Chun, answers a few questions and lets viewers in on some behind the scenes takes while recording Judgment. Chun also admits that connecting to the main character Takayuki Yagami was made easy because of the “realness” portrayed in the story of Judgment.
Check out the quick video interview with Greg Chun below:
Players will take on the role of Yagami who is a private detective thrown into the violent world of Yakuza. Adopting a few combat and other gameplay mechanics from the Yakuza series, there’s also some new features introduced in Judgment, such as the detective skills to help solve various mysteries.
Judgment is due out in the west for the PS4 on June 25, 2019. There’s also another Yakuza based spin-off in the works which is currently untitled and features another protagonist, Kasuga Ichiban.
