Ghost of Tsushima Single-Player DLC – Rumor

Ghost of Tsushima

was one of the breakout hits of 2020. While receiving some mixed reviews during its initial release, it resonated with gamers and was ultimately in the running for game of the year. Personally, since I felt that the world was in desperate need of a samurai game, I felt the game was an enjoyable way to scratch that itch.

Developer Sucker Punch did not rest after that, adding a great multiplayer mode called Legends. In this mode, four players could team up to fight against a hoard of Mongolians. On top of that were story-driven co-op segments that players could also team up for. Well if you thought we had seen everything the game will offer, a new rumor suggests that we might have something else coming.

According to multiple people, story-driven, single-player, content for the game is currently in development at Sucker Punch. Suggestions place the announcement for the DLC occurring at a Sony event some point in July. While that event has not been confirmed yet, it would fit with the timeframe they choose last year to hold a similar event.

According to Nick from XboxEra, this DLC will be sized similarly to the Gears 5: Hivebusters DLC. He went on to tweet a name for it called “Ghosts of Ikishima.” and that it was “An Expandalone type game. Aiming for 2021.”

Insider KatharsisT on ResetEra also chimed in to confirm this, stating “I knew about it, this is no question.” The issue here, is that the leak, which multiple sources are seemingly confirming, also exposes the Sony Event. Many people feel the event should have been allowed to take shape without it being spoiled by so many leaks.

If everything is as it seems we only have a month or so to learn more about the event.
