Ubisoft delivered today after a recent leak proved to be accurate with their surprise announcement of the next Ghost Recon title, Breakpoint. Standing as a sequel to 2017’s Wildlands, Breakpoint delivers the same open world experience as Wildlands with 4-player co-op set on the Pacific tropical island of Auroa.
Check out the reveal trailer for Breakpoint below:
Breakpoint has players fighting against the organized terrorist group, the Wolves, who have overrun the island. The Wolves are experienced rogue soldier who pose as the Ghost’s biggest challenge in the series yet. Auroa is the home of Skell technology, and with the Wolves taking control – nothing is safe from the new tactical enemy.
There’s plenty of new features, such as engaging with the terrain to help blend in, obtaining serious injuries to hinder the player and, of course, a huge selection of advanced technology to help survive Auroa. And to go along with the four player team, players will be able to switch between the four different classes during gameplay to help keep strategic engagements exciting.
There will also be plenty of PvP modes for those craving a bit of competition and will have players keeping their customized players throughout the entire experience. Ubisoft has also confirmed that a brand-new DLC episode will release four months after the launch of Breakpoint.
Stay tuned for more details and world premiere gameplay footage as Ubisoft has given fans a small taste of what to expect in the upcoming Ghost Recon title.
