God of War Ragnarok’s Release Date Announcement was Reportedly Delayed

According to Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier, God of War Ragnarok ‘s release date was initially set to be revealed at an event today, June 30th, but said the event has reportedly been canceled. These claims were also supported by the Twitter user and renowned leaker, The Snitch, who told Kotaku something similar after previously claiming the event would take place today. “There was going to be a reveal,” Said The Snitch to Kotaku. “But Sony delayed it .” However, as these claims were never confirmed by Sony or the game’s staff, it’s no surprise the event never happened. Additionally, with fans speculating the game has been delayed,  God of War director and Ragnarok producer Cory Barlog took to Twitter to confirm the game has, in fact, not been canceled with recent tweets. When the producer was asked  on Twitter, “Why won’t you all just go on and tell us that ragnarok is delayed so that we can move on and plan the rest of the year seriously this is getting frustrating.” he responded, “because its not.” For now, God of War Ragnarok’s specific release date has yet to be announced, but that might change soon.

The upcoming game’s details via Sony can be seen below:
