is getting set to release on November 19th and it’ll be our first taste of Google’s new platform. With the game Google’s been talking up to this point, we’re just a few weeks away from seeing if Google can actually back it up. Google announced the release date last week and since then the Founder’s Edition of Google Stadia has sold out completely according to their Facebook page. Now the Stadia pages shows a place for consumers to buy the Premier Edition of Stadia.
Google Stadia’s Founder’s Edition includes a limited edition controller, a chromecast Ultra and two Stadia Pro 3-month subscriptions for yourself and one to give to a friend. We heard some stories of Google Stadia selling out in other countries, but now we know it’s sold-out Worldwide. If I’m being honest, I’m not entirely sure how Stadia has sold out when we’re essentially getting a controller, a chromecast Ultra that can be picked up anywhere and a Digital subscription. The only guess I have is maybe Google is trying to keep the weight on the servers lite to start.
Currently, if you go to Stadia’s page you can preorder the Premier Edition of Stadia which includes a Chromecast Ultra, a Stadia controller, the Stadia Pro subscription which comes with the Destiny 2: Collection. Destiny 2: Collection includes all the Destiny 2 content except the newly released Shadowkeep DLC.
Personally, I need to see Stadia in action before I even consider trying to subscribe to this service. The internet just isn’t as fast as we’d like and I can’t imagine trying to stream a video game let alone playing online. Stadia has a lot to prove. What do you think about Google Stadia so far? Did you end up being one of the lucky people who preordered Google Stadia Founder’s Edition? Let us know and make sure you follow Gaming Instincts on Facebook and Twitter.
