Google Stadia Is Now Working on 4G and 5G Networks

Google Stadia has just announced the ‘Stadia Experiment’ the first test of the service on 4G and 5G networks. Subscribers can take part in the experiment by opening the Stadia app on an Android phone, then clicking on their selected avatar in the top right corner, selecting Experiments, and then choosing Use Mobile Data.

Google also announced that four new free to play games will be available on August 1 for Stadia Pro subscribers.

Strange Brigade is one of the featured games joining the platform, the game will take players through ancient Egypt through a cooperative action-adventure for up to four friends.

You’ll explore labyrinths prowled by undead guardians and hideous monsters. Harness traps to turn the tables on your enemies, or blast your way to the heart of Seteki’s temple. Strange Brigade is new on Stadia and ready to claim on Stadia Pro beginning August 1.

Kona

is a chilling adventure set in a snowbound Canadian village.

Something strange is at work at the edge of the world, and it’s up to you to solve the mystery and survive. Kona challenges both your wits and your nerves. Unravel a web of clues as you search a spooky, abandoned northern retreat in the midst of a deadly blizzard. New on Stadia!

Metro 2033 Redux

needs no introduction, the story-driven FPS dystopian game will serve for a great game to stress-test the capabilities of your 4G connection as the main focus of the player will be to think and react quickly in order to survive.

Another great game to test the input lag is Just Shapes & Beats, this game will test the players’ reflexes against the beat across dynamic levels that move and shift around you.

Google has been consistently making updates and announcements for their huge entry into the video games industry, a couple of weeks ago, the company hosted Stadia Connect, an event that announced 16 new games arriving at the streaming service. “Only on Stadia” games are also announced, Outcasters, Orcs Must Die! 3 joined the line-up from Splash Damage and Robot Entertainment respectively.
