News broke last month that the upcoming console debut for the Granblue Fantasy series, Granblue Fantasy Relink, is no longer being worked on by the veteran game studio Platinum Games. While this was ultimately disappointing to many fans looking to get their hands on the title, it appears publishers Cygames’ internal developer has picked up the pace at exactly where Platinum left off.
Cygames Osaka has been putting the foot down on development by recently reaching the same number of team members that were involved when Platinum was working under the hood. And the internal studio is not looking to merely match the numbers of the co-developers who have disbanded from the project, but they intend to add more members to the project which is expected to increase development time in the long run.
Though a big name like Platinum Games was sure to give gamers plenty of reason to pick up Granblue Fantasy Relink, the studio is confirming to fans that the game will still play the way it was intended.
