It has been verified through a press release from NIS America and the official Playstation Blog that the console style strategy role playing game Grand Kingdom has a release date set in stone for the North American and European territories. Developed by Monochrome Corp., this latest entry in the Grand RPG series has been out in Japan since the previous holiday season.
The standard release Grand Kingdom will hit store shelves this June. This applies to both the PS4 and PS Vita versions, but there is a special edition of Grand kingdom launching on the same dates and is only for the PS4 iteration. Also known as the Grand Edition, it is a collection of exclusive items not available through traditional retail channels and is very reminiscent of the sort of treatment given to the classic RPG works of art like Wachenröder, Baroque and Magic Knight Rayearth.
The Grand Edition contains the game itself in its own clam shell case along with a copy of the official soundtrack on CD in its own jewel case. These are accompanied by a faux leather art book, a sheet of transparent decals and a large 28 ½” x 14” poster featuring a roster of characters available. The most notable difference between the day-one edition an the special edition is the lack of the poster, stickers and the hardcover art book; the day-one SKU comes with a soft cover 32 page art book instead.
If this title has peaked your interest you, Grand Kingdom will launch on June 21 and June 17 in North America and Europe respectively across all available versions of it for the PS4 and PS Vita. The price of these SKUs has not yet been specified, but it may be safe to assume the standard PS4 release will retail at $59.99 and the PS Vita port selling at $39.99.
Includes several titles.
