Grand Theft Auto 6 publisher Take Two Interactive, has announced that it will lay off five percent of its employees which comes to around 579 people. Additionally, the publisher also announced that the layoffs will result in $165 million saved annually but will lead to some games that are currently in-development being canceled.
Take-Two Interactive Software recently announced that it will acquire The Gearbox Entertainment Company from Embracer Group for $460 million. The Gearbox Entertainment Company will retain Gearbox Software, Gearbox Montreal, Gearbox Studio Quebec, and the Borderlands and Tiny Tina’s Wonderlands franchises, as well as Homeworld, Risk of Rain, Brothers in Arms, and Duke Nukem.
