A Spanish retailer called XUruguay allegedly leaked the release date of Grand Theft Auto 6. The store listed the release date as September 17, 2025 but this date was quickly removed. When asked about how it got the information, a website representative claimed that the store “works directly with PlayStation,” and lets them “know which products we can sell and on what dates.” While September 17 is notably Grand Theft Auto V’s 12-year anniversary, and it aligns with Rockstar’s fall 2025 release window, it is unlikely that PlayStation knows the date and for Rockstar Games to have a concrete external release date so early in the year. As such, while not impossible, this release date should be taken with a grain of salt.
