Rockstar has confirmed their plans of producing a port of Grand Theft Auto V for Xbox Series X|S and PlayStation 5 consoles. The port will feature faster loading times, visual enhancements, and other new features. The studio did not mention anything related to the much older Grand Theft Auto IV, a game that it’s significantly less impressive than its successor.

The allegedly real listing has been removed from Amazon, but it revealed that the new version of the game is coming for PC, and next-gen hardware. A list of new features include:

  • Showcased in stunning 4K for PlayStation 5
  • Includes Grand Theft Auto IV and episodes: The Lost and the Damned & The Ballad of Gay Tony.
  • Features an array of technical and graphical enhancements, as well as increased framerate and haptic feedback with Dualsense Controller

Rockstar is known for being very good at keeping secrets, it’s uncertain if Grand Theft Auto IV is in the plans of the company. The studio has not hinted at anything related to the game, readers should take this kind of information with a grain of salt.

Official information from Rockstar revealed that the studio is actually producing a new game. Rockstar Games’ Senior Character Artist, Emil Mujanovic, confirmed his contribution for an ‘unannounced game’ at Rockstar. The artist affirms that he started working on the new project in February 2020.

Back in April 2020, Bloomberg’s Jason Schreier confirmed the development of Grand Theft Auto VI through information leaked from Rockstar Games’ insiders. According to what Schreier was told,  Rockstar is producing the new game on a much smaller scale compared to GTA V, the game would later be expanded through DLC.

In January 2020, Darion Lowenstein, an experienced developer who worked at Activision, Scopely, Electronic Arts, and Rockstar, expects that Rockstar Games will announce Grand Theft Auto VI in the near future.
