It’s over 4 years since the time CD Projekt RED launched its critically acclaimed The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, but its legacy is still alive. GWENT: The Witcher Card Game will be making its way through mobile, accurately iOS devices, later next month.
Originally designed as a mini-game for The Witcher 3: Wild Hunt, GWENT was successful enough that made the Polish developer to release at as a new and independent title from The Witcher itself, though it’s set in the same world.
GWENT utilizes both Role-Playing and Strategy elements in order to deliver a competitive card-based gameplay that won’t let you leave it anytime soon. It’s as challenging and addictive as its parent title is. The game was previously confirmed for mobile but CD Projekt RED hadn’t mentioned which operation systems will be getting the game. apparently, there’s no Android version in the process yet, as the developer revealed GWENT: The Witcher Card Game release date only for iOS devices. It will be available on October 29.
Last year, CD Projekt RED released a single-player story-driven game based on GWENT’s gameplay structure called Thronebreaker, following the tale of a queen who takes revenge from her son who stole the crown of reign from his own mother.
CD Projekt RED is currently developing its upcoming Cyberpunk 2077 which is promised to be a ground-breaking title. However, the Polish team still supports GWENT with new content and post-launch expansions. The iOS version of GWENT will include all the released post-launch content of the game so far and it will be featuring cross-play between all platforms. Moreover, all your saves and progress on PC version of GWENT will be available on iOS entry as well.
