Halo Infinite Forge Mode Confirmed by 343 Industries

As the first Xbox Scarlett launch title, Halo Infinite was announced back in 2018 with a brief teaser during Microsoft’s E3 press conference. With the game making an appearance in this year’s E3, again, we didn’t see anything more than a cinematic trailer, which left us again in darkness. However, at least the developer shares some new information on the game every now and then. Most recently, 343 Industries officially confirmed Forge mode as part of Halo Infinite which isn’t much of a surprise since the mode’s presence in recent titles as well.

If you haven’t played it yet, Forge mode allows players to make new multiplayer maps for themselves with different designs and multiple obstacles in every corner. The studio didn’t reveal whether the mode is going to be available at launch or will be added later, but it did mention to a new undo/redo feature in the upcoming Forge mode for Halo Infinite which is a most-wanted feature in Halo community.

Considering that Halo 5: Guardians had been released in 2015, 343 Industries had quite a bit of time for cultivating the next installment of the series as a launch title for Xbox Scarlett. However, through the past years, part of the studio has been working on Halo: The Master Chief Collection, and now that Microsoft is bringing the collection to PC, still a group of the team is working on the port and the addition of Halo: Reach to the collection.

Halo Infinite is going to be the third title in the series that’s being made by 343 Industries. While Halo 5: Guardians have had an eye-catching progression compared to its predecessor, the same thing is expected for Halo: Infinite as well.
