Hatsune Miku Rhythm Action Game coming to Steam VR!

Degica Games and Crypton Future Media are pleased to announce the famous virtual singer Hatsune Miku is coming to Steam VR in early 2018. Hatsune Miku VR, a VR rhythm action game, will feature songs by various famous Hatsune Miku artists.

Features:

  • Rhythm action game using VR controllers
  • Enjoy Miku’s original dance while playing the game
  • Eight songs with two difficulties for intense dance action (more planned to follow after release)
  • Game available in English, Japanese, and Chinese and more

About Crypton Future Media:

Crypton Future Media licenses and sells over ten million pieces of sound content from more than 100 European and American partners for the Japanese market. Initially founded as a “sound merchant” importing sound effects and audio resources, they now handles computer music software, sound distribution stores, music aggregation, 3DCG systems, and mobile games. Based on a flat company structure, development is ongoing daily in a wide range of services and technology. They is also famous for developing the Hatsune Miku voice software.

About Hatsune Miku:
Developed by Crypton Future Media, a “software” that lets anyone create songs by entering the words and melody. As numerous creators submitted content on the web, Hatsune Miku became a big movement. She also garnered interest as a “character” and now has her own goods and live concerts as a virtual singer, famous throughout the world.

Check out some Screenshots:

This isn’t the Japanese CG starlet’s first foray into VR. Crypton Future Media, the inventors/rights holders, have licensed Hatsune Miku’s likeness to a number of VR ‘concerts’ across including PSVR (Hatsune Miku: VR Future Live), and both Gear VR and Daydream via the VR Cruise app (Gear VR versionDaydream version).

Since there’s only eight songs to choose from, we don’t expect this to be high on the list of ‘must plays’, but if you’re a Hatsune Miku superfan, you might want to keep this link handy to check for when the game finally arrives on Steam.
