Sony and Arrowhead Game Studios’ latest third-person shooter Helldivers II, has become a big hit and is one of the most played games of the weekend and Sony’s biggest Steam launch to date. According to SteamDB, the game has surpassed over 144,000 players on Steam and counting. Helldivers II was also the most pre-ordered game on the PlayStation Store in the US and other regions. Lastly, Sony announced that the game will receive several post launch story updates which will see the in-game universe “grow and change” and offer “refreshed gameplay” with new tools, new challenges, and more. Helldivers II launched on February 8 for PlayStation 5 and PC via Steam. In Helldivers II, players “join forces with up to four friends and wreak havoc on an alien scourge threatening the safety of your home planet, Super Earth.”
